Training

Just got home from the Y. Triathlete swim clinic. We had a speaker Tuesday night that showed a video and spoke on various drills we can use to better our swim technique. Tonight we got to try them out. I was thinking we'd do a few laps. Easy stuff, just work on drills. UGH We did a good workout actually. For me it was good anyway. Laps and drills put us over a mile!!! It actually felt really good to be in the pool.

After class Tuesday I got my butt on the treadmil for a quick 2 miles. I was hoping to do that again tonight it was getting late and I needed to eat!! So tomorrow that's the plan. At least 2 miles. Starting with low mileage for a couple weeks to get the legs back a little then I will slowly build. I am goiing to try juggling a half-marathon training plan for May 3rd with my half-IronMan trianing plan. I did this last year and it went pretty good. I really have to plan my weeks out ahead of time or too much gets skipped!!! :)

Yea for you. I want to start some swimming too... just to work other muscles and get in better shape. Also mix up the workouts a little. I wish I could swim enough laps for a mile... maybe a goal I can work up to. For right now, after about 10 laps, I am spent.
